Today is the day that all traditional football fans live for, the return of the FA Cup.
Round one of the competition kicks off today as the non league boys look for their first big scalp of the year.
Obviously due to the growth of the cup, for some teams this could well be their fifth or sixth game (with replays) in the competition but this is where it all counts that little bit more.
They want to be the next Crawley Town, who got to round five on three seasons ago, or the next Yeovil Town who used to have a knack of knocking out the big boys during their periods in non league football.
In today’s games, their are the opportunities for some giant killings, none more so for Crawley who travel to the Metropolitan Police.
For the officers in the police, it is a great distraction from their other football related work issues currently, and they will look to get in hard and attack their league opposition to progress further.
Elsewhere, Boreham Wood entertain Brentford, Arsleey travel to former Premier League boys Coventry and Bradford Park Avenue make the short trip to Doncaster.
With many league teams looking to get a much needed win on the board too, today could be one of the best ever FA Cup first round days in history.
