FA Cup Fifth Round Preview

The FA Cup is back again this weekend with some cracking games on show.

Saturday sees Oldham Athletic play host to high-flying Premiership side Everton. Oldham have already defeated the Merseysider’s local rivals Liverpool in getting to round five, and with a new coach in charge will be looking to spring an upset once more.

Elsewhere, Arsenal will hope to get a victory as they continue their quest for a trophy as they face previous bogey team Blackburn Rovers.

The two other games on the day see Non-League and Football league clubs battle it out. Luton Town, who defeated Premiership boys Norwich City in Round four face Millwall whilst MK Dons face South Yorkshire side Barnsley.

Sunday sees Chelsea and Brentford replay their Fourth Round clash on this fifth round weekend as Champions League and International fixtures prevented a game being played.

Back into the fifth round and Huddersfield Town’s reward for a replay win at Leicester City is a home tie with Wigan Athletic. The same two clubs meet in rugby league on the Saturday with the Giants (Huddersfield) facing the Warriors (Wigan). The pitch will probably be worn so it is the perfect opportunity for Huddersfield to claim another scalp.

The other games sees Leeds United have another chance to break hearts as they face last years Premier League champions Manchester City.
